Exhibition #65 is an exhibition organised by North Somerset Arts for the interim year between it’s famous ‘Arts Weeks’. Held at No 65, Nailsea High Street, there will be 4 seperate shows during 11th April – 3rd June 2018. In total, there are 43 Artists taking part, divided into groups of around 11 to make up 4 shows. This promises to be an exciting series of shows if the last Arts Week is anything to go by…a cross section of some of North Somerset’s most talented artists showing their art, using a wide variety of styles, mediums and techniques.
I will be taking part in the 2nd Week, from 25th April – 6th May where you’ll be able to see a selection of my latest feather paintings on display. I’m also excited to be taking part in a special collaboration with the other artists in ‘Show 2’. As a group, we have decided to each create a piece of art inspired by our personal response to or connection with a particular part of North Somerset. With this as a starting point, each artist will work their magic and create a piece of art that will be joined together with all the other pieces created by the rest of the group to form a collaborative piece which will stand as our window display throughout the exhibition.
Every visitor to the exhibition will be offered a free ticket which will be put into a draw at the end of Week 2 for a chance to win one of these original artworks. There will be 11 winners! SHOW 2 is not to be missed! Not only will you be able to experience some stunning visual art, but you have the opportunity to win an original piece of art by one of 11 local artists!
Today, the ‘Show 2’ Artists met at the venue to discuss the collaborative piece, and we were also able to collect our brochures which look fantastic! If you’d like one, drop me a message or you can download a digital copy here: https://www.northsomersetarts.org/uploads/7/0/4/3/70431369/exhibition_65_brochure.pdf?platform=hootsuite
I’ll be posting updates along the way, so watch this space!
